Sweet and sour tuna

An Indonesian recipe

  • 400 g tuna fillet (cut into small pieces or cubes, rinsed with lime juice.)

For the marinade:

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tsp mushroom bouillon

For the sauce (mix together):

  • 6 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp broth powder

Other ingredients:

  • 300 ml boiled water
  • 1 tbsp corn flour (dissolved in a little water)
  • 1 carrot (cut into matchsticks)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp margarine for sautéing
  1. Coat the tuna with garlic powder, pepper, and mushroom bouillon. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes. 2. Fry the tuna pieces until cooked, then remove and arrange them on a plate. You can also lightly dust the tuna cubes in the flour before frying the tuna pieces.
  2. In a pan, heat the margarine and sauté the onion until fragrant.
  3. Add the sauce mixture and stir well. Add the carrot and water.
  4. Cook until the mixture boils and the carrots are tender. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
  5. Stir in the corn flour solution to thicken the sauce, then pour it over the tuna.
  6. Your dish is now ready to enjoy!
