Western Tuna and Billfish Fishery
The Western Tuna and Billfish Fishery is fished and managed similar to the Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery.
Notable exceptions are:
- the Western Tuna and Billfish Fishery covers the sea area west from the tip of Cape York in Queensland, around Western Australia, to the border between Victoria and South Australia.
- fishing occurs in both the Australian Fishing Zone and adjacent high seas.
- the fishery is managed internationally by the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission.
